Spacelabs Healthcare’s has a long history the development of ambulatory cardiac monitoring including Holter and Cardiac Event Monitoring originating with Del Mar Reynolds. Del Mar is a well known name in ambulatory cardiac monitoring as they are responsible for inventing 24 Holter Monitoring as we know it. With decades of experience in Holter Monitoring, it is only logical that Spacelabs would expand to include long term cardiac event monitoring.
Spacelabs Approach to Event Monitoring
The Diagnostic Cardiology division of Spacelabs Healthcare markets their cardiac event monitors to medical facilities and the OEM market worldwide. Spacelabs offers cardiac event monitor Monitoring recorders and the event receiving station to medical facilities that are interested in offering their own Cardiac Event Monitoring solution. It is not clear as to whether or not Spacelabs offers a laboratory service for customers that want to outsource the 24/7/365 analysis.
Spacelabs Cardiac Event Monitor and Software
The Spacelabs Cardiac Event Monitoring solution includes many of the same features that has made Spacelabs a player in the Holter Monitoring industry. The Cardiac Event The CardioCall VS20 can be used as a patient activated loop recorder for symptomatic monitoring. It features flexible programmable memory where the ECG may be sent trans-telephonically to a receiving station or downloaded to a computer. The Event Station is our trans-telephonic receiving center. While it is optimized for use with CardioCall event recorders, it may be used with all industry standard trans-telephonic recorders. A direct download solution is also available for use with your computer.
